I am back... I hope!

Good afternoon!

Phew, well I think I might actually be back in the blogging world now, things are finally settling down into a routine, so we'll see how all this goes.

I haven't got myself organised enough to start Youtube yet, so for now I will be blogging and will see how this fits into my new schedule. Hopefully Youtube will be coming soon!

So this post is just going to be a bit of an update really, to let you know what has been going on. I will throw in some pictures to make it more entertaining :)

Firstly, if you have seen my Facebook page, you will know that I have graduated...

I really enjoyed the ceremony, but I am also relieved to be out of education, I am proud to say I graduated with a First Class Honours in Business Management. So that's my long stint in education finally over, so what did we do to celebrate??...

We went on holiday! This is me and the lovely Sam on our first night in Menorca. I do plan to do an Outfit of the Evening post soon, once I have sorted out the photos. We had a great time chilling by the pool and reading 50 Shades of Grey and The Sookie Stackhouse Novels(let me know what you think of these!). It was a wonderful break after finishing education, and a nice quiet before the storm.

Because, the day after we got back I moved flat to move in with Rosie. So that really was chaos, we haven't moved far but it took the family a whole day to move my things, and then another week or so to sort everything out. But we're all settled in now, which leads me to another piece of news...

I now have a job! I am no longer self employed, instead I work in a department store on womenswear and I am loving it! The standing up isn't really agreeing with my hips, but I am sure I will get there. I am working on a temp basis at the moment, but am hoping to get something full time. I am with a great company and would hate to miss the opportunity to stay with them!

I am not sure that I have any more news right now, but with all the excitement of moving, and new jobs and other bits and pieces, the blog really had to take a back seat, but now I am back and ready to get into the swing of it again, so let me know if you have any suggestions of things you would like to see.

Anyway, there's housework to be done, and tax forms to fill in (yawn!) so I best get going!

I hope to see you all soon!!

It's all Chaos!

Good morning,

So I thought that as soon as I had finished my degree I would have loads of time for blogging, well, how wrong was I?!?!

What with shopping trips, family visits, flat viewings, and the snap decision to move to a new flat, AND sorting my room out to thin out some clutter (my new bedroom is smaller!), I have hardly had time to stop and rest, never mind blog.

I will try and get some posts up this week. The YouTube is going ahead, I am going to film my first videos abroad in Menorca, which will be fun and exciting, I hope you will all be watching :)

So yeah, sorry for the silence, rest assured I haven't forgotten about the blog, I am just having a bit of a whirlwind of a life at the moment.

Speak soon!

:)

I am back :)

So HELLO EVERYBODY!

I am finally back, it's been a long and tiresome couple of weeks but I am happy to say I am back, AND that I have achieved a First Class Honours in Business Management. I so pleased! And I want to thank everyone who has supported me through it all. It means a lot!

So I have been on a couple of shopping trips during this time, and received my first Graze Box, so those things have been pretty exciting. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures before I put everything away, but I did take pictures of the Graze Box, so there will be a post on that soon.

I am also considering starting Youtube. I have a busy week sorting things out this week but I might have a tinker around next week. So if you have any video ideas, please feel free to share.

Another thing to mention is that I am definitely going on holiday now! We have booked Menorca for the day after my graduation, 6th July, so that's not far away at all! I am so excited. And it is likely you will see all my latest purchases on the holiday! I may also do some vlogging, to upload when I get back, if people are interested.

So there we are, that's pretty much the last couple of weeks caught up. Now it's time for a bit of Wii Fit before dinner, currently working on my bikini body you see!

I hope that everyone is doing great in their exams and get to enjoy summer soon!

See you tomorrow :D

A blogging hiatus...

Good Evening!

So this is a pretty quick post from me today, to explain why I will be a bit AWOL for a couple of weeks.

I am coming to the end of my degree, and things have not been easy lately so I have found myself struggling a little bit. So the until June 15th I will be keeping my head down and working hard. I will try and post from time to time, and will be checking the blog frequently.

I am a little gutted that I won't be able to post as much for a while, but I promise that once everything is over I will be back to normal and blogging regularly. I am also considering YouTube! Let me know your thoughts on this!

On another note, Rosie is also on a little break due to her laptop, and her phone, breaking! She's not having much luck on the tech front at the moment, but she will be back as soon as possible too :)

So until I am back, wish me luck getting all this done, and good luck to everyone else in their last few weeks of GCSE's, A Levels or Degrees or whatever else people are doing.

Work hard, you can do it!

An Update on Rosiee Apple

Good Evening!

Had a really tiring day so not much news from me really.

BUT

I have an update on Rosie's jewellery... apart from me she has made her first official sale through her Etsy which can be found here.

Also, you will notice on the right of this blog, there is a little button that will take you to her Etsy page, nifty huh!?

So yeah, I just want to say how proud of her I am!

Well done Rosie <3

(I just thought this was awesome!)

Terrible Nails, let's all have a laugh!

Good Evening!

Firstly I have to say that I attended the Festival of Vintage today and it was EPIC! Worth plodding through the rain for, I can't wait to share it with you, but there is a lot of editing to be done (be prepared for a photo heavy post).

But what I actually wanted to share with you today was an atrocious attempt at nail art. I am actually unsure why I am sharing this with you, because it looks awful. But part of me thinks that my 2 hours of hard labour should be shared with the world, no matter how pants it is.

So there it is, isn't it poop haha! These jewel-tastic design was created with:

-Tesco "All about Nails" in Lavender (3-4 coats)
- Top Shop Gold nail art pen (inc. jewels)
- La Femme Beauty Glitter polish
-Top and Base coat

After a failed marble nail attempt, (the polish wouldn't spread on the water), I just decided to get a little jewel happy. Because I am not good with fine detail, particularly nail art pens it would appear, they turned out horrible. The jewels hide the messy lines underneath, which is its only saving grace. I have already lost several jewels so they are starting to look even scruffier, but I refuse to take it off so soon, after working so long on it.

But yeah, they are laughable really, so I thought we could all laugh together :)

Now I have rats to clean out and a movie to watch with the bf, so I will be back tomorrow, hopefully, with a Festival of Vintage post! (It depends how long the editing takes!)

See you tomorrow :)

A Big Thank You

Good Evening!

Really short post this evening before I post the huuuge York Does Vintage one tomorrow!

Firstly I would like to thank Sam and Alex from York Does Vintage for allowing me to have a stall at the fair yesterday, so I could get all my surveys done for my dissertation. I really appreciate everything you have done for me :)

I wanted to say another huge thank you to everyone who filled out a survey for me at York Does Vintage yesterday, you helped me to make my dissertation possible and I am very very grateful! I hope you enjoyed the free sweeties!

I also want to say thank you to the stall holders who have, or are, going to fill in surveys for me, I appreciate that you are busy people so I am really grateful that you are willing to help me out.

So yeah, just a whole lot of love for everyone today, get ready for the mammoth post tomorrow, it's going to take me a while, but it will be worth it!

Until then...

Damn my blasted immune system!

Hello!

Just a quick little message to say that I am still around, but I have been poorly all weekend, and have therefore not finished editing the photo's of the Queen's visit.

I have had to take tomorrow off work due to this stupid bug thing, so hopefully I will be able to get everything edited and the post up.

Unfortunately this will be another quiet week from me, as it's Rosie's party on Thursday, and the lovely Sam is coming up on Wednesday to help me prepare.

So anyway, one more job to do then I can have a bath and go to bed!

(I just got back from my parents house, I hate the million jobs that seem to appear as soon as you get back home!)

Until tomorrow...

A little blogging break

Good Afternoon!

So this weekend is very very busy for me, as was yesterday, hence the lack of a post. I went out to the pub yesterday evening with the bf, my dad and my uncle, and to cut a long story short, I don't remember the latter part of the evening...

So I have had an interview today, am now in my pyjamas, and I still feel hungover. I am resting tonight and am going for another part of my interview tomorrow. Then Mum, Rosie and my brother are arriving to celebrate the lovely Rosie's 18th, which is on Sunday. So we're having a fun filled family weekend.

Obviously this leaves little time for blogging. But fear not, I will be back on Monday.

So I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and I will see you soon!

(OOTD) Sheffield Haul...and me in a bag!

Evening!

Well I am shattered! But I had a lovely weekend with my bestest friend Sam (if you haven't checked out her baking blog already, you should!)

Once again I am not going to hang around nattering, I have A LOT to get through (if my blog posts are too long, please let me know, I often do wonder...)

So here's the OOTD:

Jumper- Everything5Pounds.com
Vintage Dress- Inherited from Grandma
Leggings- Select £4

Simple and sweet :)

So, I kind of bought a lot in Sheffield... here's the bag that contains it all (and later contained me, but we'll get to that!

So I have grouped this by type of purchase, first rings...

1. Matalan, £3 2. Matalan, £2.50 3. Matalan,  £2.50 4. Miss Selfridge, £3
Up close...

Hair accessories...
1. Miss Selfridge,  £2 2. Matalan, £2 3. Matalan, £2 4. Matalan, £2

Didn't get any bracelets, apart from this hand chain. I really love the little bug. I must also mention that all sale jewellery in Miss Selfridge is also on 3 for 2, so some things were actually when I got to the till!

And now onto necklaces...

1. Miss Selfridge, £2 2. Matalan, £2.50, 3. Matalan, £3, 4. Matalan,  £3

The only pair of earrings I bought were from Matalan and were the princely sum of £3.

I have been admiring these body chains for a while, and fell in love with this one in the Miss Selfridge sale for £8. I plan to wear it with my backless Isabel Wong Dress.

I also popped into Home Bargains, picked up some Olbas Bubble bath for £2.50, I have had it before and it's lovely. I also bought two pots of Re-Gen cream, (one for me and one for Rosie). This cream was recommended on Zoella's blog, so we thought we would give it a go, and at £3.99, it's not as if it breaks the bank!

After being impressed with my TopShop nail art pen, I decided to get these ones too. These are 3 in 1, they have a precision nib, a brush and contain gems for decoration. These are £7.50, but £6.75 with student discount!

So we finally hit Primark and basically I just went a bit mad! Will start with these boot socks for the mens section, they were £2 a pair. I loved the colour selection, I am very excited to wear these with my Vivienne Westwood Wellies!

I saw these glasses on Asos for £9.50, and we were having a good giggle about me buying some for my holiday this year. In Primark they were £2 so I couldn't resist! Yes they are a bit Elton John, but I think they are awesome!

I spotted these at the till and was pretty impressed. I have a lot of necklaces (as you know) and I have been experimenting with how to store them and I think these are the answer. You get 3 hangers for £2.50 which I think is pretty cheap!

I had not been interested in skull scarves until I saw this colour combo, and for £3 I couldn't help myself!...

... Just like I couldn't resist this 'binocular' bag for £3!

I had seen this backpack on one of the YouTubers haul videos and I really liked it. It was £9 which is a bit 'high end' for Primark, but I think I will get some good use out of it.

I also bought a hair donut, I would really like to be able to wear a top-knot, but my hair is too short, so I hope I can create some sort of similar effect with this, it's a £1 experiment.

I also picked these face wipes up to try. I know some people don't like face wipes, but I find them quick and handy to use. I don't really have time for elaborate skin routines, so for now these and a bit of moisturiser will do.

Now onto clothes, I picked up these purple leggings for £3. I love leggings!

I fell in love with this bandeaux top for £3, I plan to wear it with a tie up denim shirt over the top in the summer. I love the pattern and I really want the warm weather to come now!

I also fell in love with this tiger vest, it's blue eyes grabbed me! And for £5 I had to have it.

Now for a bit of a boring buy, 2 spaghetti strap vests, £2 each.

Feeling all summery I grabbed this scarf print vest for £5, I love the pattern!

The next dress is something that Sam ordered for me a while ago, but I have only just picked it up. It was £9 in the Dorothy Perkins sale and I can't wait to wear it!

We also nipped into B&M Bargains, I have never been before but it's amazing! Twirls and bun sprinkles first :)

I will be living with Rosie from summer, so I treated us to these awesome tea towels, they were only £2.49!

I also picked these up for my future bedroom, at £2.99 I couldn't help myself!

And finally I got these wall stickers for our future house, they are reusable too so I thought they were a steal at £1.99!

So that is everything! I know it's a lot so thanks for reading, as a reward, here is a sequence of pictures of me fitting into the giant bag! Until tomorrow...

Appalling Really

So I haven't posted in forever, and that is really bad!

College is busy and is taking up a lot of my time! I have assignments coming out of my ears!

I have a telephone interview for Harrods on Thursday and I am mad nervous!

Xmas was awesome! Hello Vivienne Westwood ankle wellies :D

The business is going well but I need more days, will have to get some networking done.

I don't want to bore you with a load of drivel. I will do my best to post more and babble less. For now back to enjoying my box of matchmakers, I quite enjoy this 'flat to myself while the bf is at home' lark :D

Harvey Nichols and the iPad queue

Ok so I am feeling a little bit worn out today, have had a crazy weekend helping to see off a friend of mine who is leaving for Afghan with the RAF, so last night was a late one!
This week has been a bit crazy so apart from writing my VM essay plan, I haven't done much more college work, but now the boyfriend is back at home, I have a few weeks to crack on!
Wednesday was the Harvey Nichols event, this was the second one I attended and this time I did not spend as much money, and actually bought something useful, and that was included in the 10% and £10 off offer; a Marc Jacobs iPad case, but more on the iPad shortly.
The evening at the Leeds store was just as lovely as last time, champagne and wine available on every floor, helpful staff, and a wonderful fashion show displaying the new season stock. I did try to get some pictures, but I only took my point and shoot and they aren't really worth uploading because most of them are blurred.
The women models all sported vibrant pink eyes and cheeks and slicked back hair, and trends displayed were pretty much what can be seen on the Vogue website. All in all, a great night :)

And now for the iPad 2, the new love of my life, a love which the boyfriend and I queued for 5 hours in the Currys York store for. Luckily the lovely staff let us sit in the store rather than queue outside, and operated a ticket system for their limited stock of 12 iPads, (which did not include the one I originally wanted, so I compromised, and also stayed up until 2am to order the smart cover I wanted, because they didn't have that either!) So I ended up being the first person to purchase an iPad in York, and came home with the 32gb wifi version in black, and I love it. I will post at some point about cool apps and features once I have explored it more thoroughly. But here is some photos of mine and Justin's adventures:

Sorry this is not a very detailed post, just a summary of a wonderful week. Now best get going to pick up my Akbar's takeaway, mmmm :)
